Hi.

I believe 02 are breaking the terms of their contract and raising prices before advertised.

Does this give me the right to cancel my 02 sims and look elsewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can leave.

All the details are in the email which they should have sent to you.

Main thread on this here

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Read the e-mail the sent you, @cheesecake ?

In case you did not:

from:O2 <account@account.o2.com>

We're changing our services
Hello xxxxxx,

We wanted to give you a heads up about a change we’re making to some of our airtime plans, so you can be prepared ahead of time.

From April 2026, your airtime plan will now be increasing by £2.50 instead of £1.80. The cost of your device plan will remain the same. Data Only and Smartwatch Plans will remain the same at 75p.

What this means for you

There’s nothing you need to do. This change will happen automatically

Due to this, you have the right to cancel your airtime plan without any early termination charges, within the next 30 days

If you have a device plan and you do decide to cancel, you'll still need to pay this off in full

You can continue paying monthly, or you can pay the remaining balance in full

If you choose to pay the full balance, you’ll need to call us on 202 to arrange it

Check what you're currently paying

You can log into your My O2 account and check any of your statements (from April 2025 to March 2026) to see what you’re currently paying

Contact us
Call us for free from your O2 mobile on 202 if you’re a Pay Monthly customer. Otherwise, it’s 0344 809 0202 from any other phone.

Take Care.
