I have £10 in my account, I want to take the £10 monthly rate, why does it make me pay again with the card if I already have the money in my account, could I use the balance of the £10 I currently have in my account?

You can't use credit for a rolling plan.
Pay As You Go: Introducing "Rolling Plans"
Switch to a big bundle in your MyO2 to use the credit.

Sounds like you are on Pay As You Go Rolling Plan, Pay As You Go: Introducing "Rolling Plans" @Natalia73
This might help explain how to change to PAYG Big Bundle for a month to use your balance, as Rolling Plan always uses the card to renew monthly by design:
