hi I bought a new s20 plus I set it up like I have done with previous Samsung phones. Put the sim in didn't expect it to work instantly but then after switching on and off repeatedly and waiting for 24hrs my phone says the same.

I have tried to text 'SWAP' to 20220 so my number carries on but nothing will send. My phone hasn't shown signal not once. I will have to call in the morning but would like to know if anyone can help otherwise.

And yes I have tried putting the sim back in and out to see if it works.

No I cannot put old sim in as I am now on 5g not 4g.

@liam2005 You can still use your 4G sim in your new phone. The phone is backwards compatible. In order to use your new sim you will need to follow this guide: https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/How-to-Guides/SIM-Swap-a-mini-guide/ba-p/1060675

Be aware that sim swaps are taking longer than normal under the current circumstances, so it might be better to carry on using your old sim for the time being instead of doing the swap at this time. You just won't have 5G. The 5G network isn't really prolific right now anyway, so you're not missing much.
