Registering a new device problems

Basically, the mobile i was registered with on 02 and using is very old and now busted and i am now using my son's spare mobile.

I have tried registering this device on my 02 and it refused me as its ''registered to somebody else''.

I am paying for my sons main mobile and he was getting free airtime on it (thanks!) owing to my having and paying for two devices i would guess.

I am still paying for two devices now, my sons device which is registered to me and his spare device which i use now.

Problem is i cant register his spare device and so now paying his airtime !  Please could you assist ?  Thanks
