Pac code on new PAYG sim - no credit

I have ported my phone number to an o2 PAYG SIM only to realise the signal in my area is extremely poor 0 to 1 bar.

The only option I can see is to move again to another provider. But o2 say I can only receive a PAC via text message. I do not want to waste £10 simply to send a message to move elsewhere.

Does anyone know why they cannot simply provide the PAC over the phone?

NB: I am able to receive texts and calls.

Thsnks for your advice. I tried that but unfortunately because there's no credit on the sim, the text option is not working (even though text should be free)  ?  Can anyone find me a solution to getting a PAC code from 02.  I've now rang them 8 times and they pretend to place me on hold, then hang up.  I've opened one chat then they go off to check something and chat closes!!!

Ah, sorry @Scundered didn't realise you were trying to get a PAC code or a PAYG sim.

I have tried on both number 85075 and 65075 but failed to get PAC and then contact with customer support and NO HELP from him. Very disappointed.

From other networks, you can get PAC even you don't have a credit. 

If you call to customer support , you must have at least 2 hours to spend.

Hi, I'm also in the same situation where I want to request my PAC code for my pay as you go sim but I've never topped up my sim before.

Please can I get some advice @O2Emma ?
