I'm a new customer. Bought a pay as you go sim from the local shop. Downloaded the o2 app to top up. Recieved the email verification to log into the app. (Email verification just loops endlessly) Receive the code to my mobile number. (Also doesn't work) Support says try reinstalling the app and resetting phone. 3 hours later it allows me into the app only to receive the error message "Something went wrong. Oops. My 02 isn't available to you yet. If you're new to O2, it can take up to 48 hours for your account to be ready. If it's been longer than 48 hours, get in touch and we'll look into it for you"... Ok fine I'll do it the old way and buy a voucher from the shop. *purchased voucher from store* rings 4444 and guess what? "Sorry but we're currently fixing a fault on the pay as you go top up line, please try again later."

So 12 hours and a wasted £15 top up voucher because o2's services are a total mess. I've been reading the help forums and they're flooded with similar problems regarding the o2/virgin merge. Why is it literally so difficult just to top up my phone....

PAYG is undergoing some major changes currently whilst new features are being added.

For future reference Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Pay and go has not been the same since been slowly doing a new look My o2 and billing system.  Also the o2/Virgin merger had not been to great in my option. As their has been a few occasional minor faults with the system.
