How on earth can you speak to a human at O2 since yesterday I’ve been unable to make or receive calls, I’ve checked the network service status it says no problems in my area, it’s not my phone has my nieces tried her sim in my phone and everything was ok.

The My o2 app and My o2 on the website is now not always great since it got updated with a new look.

Quickest and safest way is to go in store with photo ID.
We've had cases of PAYG accounts incorrectly being switched to BPI which gives you only data with no calls or texts.
This is due to changes being made to provision 4g and wifi calling, ironically.
