If a pay as go phone get lost with credit on it,I buy a new phone can the credit be transfered

I'm enquiring for my elderly aunt, she has pay as you go phone and she's lost it whilst out shopping,. She's had the same number for years. and had alot of credit on it.

Is she able to transfer the same number to a new sim?. And even transfer the credit?

@Leighjai The phone needs to be reported as lost as soon as possible. The number and credit can be restored, but it must be reported as lost. Follow the guide below:
