Help.
my uncles old iphone 6 broke last week (yup this is a sob story) - he stays 2 housr away form me and is looking after our 94 year gran who is shielding.
he used his neighbours phone to call me to let me know & I said dont worry his other niece had one he could get.
So got phone but had to wait for him to post his sim up.
Put sim in(vodaphone) and iphone 6s is locked to 02 - saw that I could just use imei number & request an unlock (phone is several years old/ out of contract etc)
Couldnt do this online without an 02 account
So went an got 02 pay as you go
Placed request - was denied as no call had been made on that number
Toppe dup £10 and made some calls
Placed another request and I just get told a request has been submitted and refused.
Called apple - they told me to call 02 - no way at all of getting in touch with 02
What on earth do i do - have 2 vunerable indiviudals 2 hours away that dont have access to a phone - I cant set a phone up & 02 wont unlock this - I cant contact 02 to unlock it.

Feeling so upset that I couldnt get my uncle & my wee gran connected and worried sick that they can only get in touch if they go to a neighbour to use the phone get in touch. If I could afford to go and just buy them a mobile I would.

Just tried again & just get the this imei has been already been submitted.
Completely stuck as to what to do...
Is this all just a big con by o2 to get folk to pay £10 to them??
- as the only service that worked flawlessy was topping up the o2 sim card I got.

I did and that was so nice of someone to get in touch & help - some kindness & a offer of help goes such a long way.
Have gave him the info (initally just gave imei number as was a bit wary to provide more details) - but then realised he seem sto be one of the folk on this forum helping everyone out!

Yes @LukasB is one of the community managers @losingwill02 . They have access to people who can sort this sort of issue out. We call on the managers when we realise we can do nothing else.
