I've been a customer with o2 for over 10 years my phone has given up on me so need a new one but there all expensive would I be eligible for a discount as I've been loyal customer I would prepare pay as you go ?

Nothing for loyalty these days I'm afraid. Call customer service and choose the option for leaving and they may possibly offer you something but you would get a better price from an independent such as CPW or look online if you want PAYG.

Unless you want refresh and the option to upgrade early, look elsewhere for better deals.
You can get discounts for adding more contracts to your account or if you are employed in certain jobs though.
