"Your bill is 900% higher this month, why? Because we refuse to warn you when you use your allowance and we can charge way more". That how O2 does business and keep disappointing its customers. Well done there!

One would expect that self restraint and understanding of your own responsibilities would be more of a solution than by attempting (poorly I might add) to discredit a long term member of this community.
Nine hundred percent!
Some serious neglect of responsibility right there.
I would however strongly suggest you call customer services on 202 and discuss increasing your allowances to suit your usage a lot better.

Thank you all who sees and evaluates this issue from O2 point of view rather than a customer side. I will take your advise and change my provider.

Is that because you think other networks will give you free usage at will...?
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

@Anonymous

Having read the thread, may I please ask what you are seeking from o2?

O2's responsibility is to provide (where reasonably technically possible) a mobile phone service (noting terms and conditions which clearly state coverage cannot be guaranteed as this is radio based technology and there are so many variables).
Our responsibility as customers is to ensure we are able to pay for the services we use.

If a user has allowances (for example I have unlimited minutes and texts plus 5gb of uk data) and they use more than that they will be charged for same. Your additional charges are for calls and texts as data stops once you use your allowance.

To assist you as a customer, o2 provide a text balance service and myo2 both of which are detailed above.

Whether you are a customer of 1 month or 20 years is irrelevant. I have been using mobiles for over 20 years but I still expect to pay for what I have used.

So could you please clarify exactly what you are seeking here? Thank you

On a separate note, having a go at some of the very experienced members on here, who do this in their own time, for no personal gain, is hardly likely to help you is it?

@MI5 is one of the most experienced, helpful and quite frankly technically brilliant people on here.

Whilst I may be a regular, frequent poster on here, I can't get anywhere near his knowledge. He has helped many many members with varying different issues.

I politely suggest an apology is in order, even if you prefer to send that via private message.

The only constructive advice so far has been to:

Get to grips with myo2

Contact customer services to discuss your allowances and possibly increase them to match your needs.

No one here sees this from o2s point of view, and they don't "evaluate" from it either, we lack the full information to do so and we also like to remain impartial to help customers as best we can WITHOUT BIAS

As customers we also have an understanding of the allowances we gat for the money we pay, how to check our remaining allowances, how to check exactly what any extra charges are for and how to manage our usage. It's all common sense and it's called self help and responsibility.
