Has anyone tried to use WiFi or 4G Calling with any recent Huawei phones? If yes, does it require O2 firmware? or does Huawei provide carrier-branded firmware anyway?

There are no Huawei phones supported currently.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

but it looks like Huawei is putting the carrier config of O2 UK in a firmware specifying the configuration of WiFi Calling and possibly VoLTE as well but it looks like Huawei is hiding the VoLTE switch. Does other O2 Android phones supporting VoLTE on O2 showing the VoLTE switch or it just works without a switch turning it on in the phone?

The interesting thing is there is another carrier config file attempting to turn on EE's VoLTE by default but the model is not on EE's support list.
