Webmail not working

I need to access my o2 webmail and have got a 404 error every time for a week. Signing into myo2 works, so my details are correct. I can't seem to find any way to webchat within the support section because I am not an o2 phone customer. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I can only suggest you phone customer services who should be able to help.

Could you right click the button you use to sign in and click 'copy link' and then paste it here?

Do you have an email client like Microsoft Outlook on your computer?

Thanks for the repy. As I say, logging in to myo2 works fine, but then when I use the webmail link http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2/email/o2webmail I get the page http://www.o2.co.uk/assets/O2HybridNav/Static-files/errors/error.html

I'm using a Mac with Mail currently, but have the same problem with Safari, Firefox and on my HTC phone, so I can only assume either the webmail server is down and has been for a week (I deign to suggest there would then be hundreds of threads like this), or that there is some problem with my specific email account. Any ideas?

Same problem here, but only been suffering since yesterday lunchtime. This is usually such a reliable service. I have had the problem before but only for about an hour or so

I have had the issue, from sunday evening, i spoke to tech support, they asked me could access my o2 area on the o2 website. I havent logged i for ages, so i logged in, i was then forced to change my username which is the username i use to authenticate the SMTP my when sending mail from "mail.o2.co.uk".  I changed it and it still does not work. The tech support was not aware of any issues, but to add to the issue the webmail no longer works, this will be linked.

Tech suppport said they would log a ticket with someone high up in tech support to look at this issue. The only thing i can think of is that o2 broadband is being sold off to SKY, there could be some maintenance being carried out or maybe they are moving o2 customer email accounts over to SKY and from experience the services that SKY offer are not that great, something like an SMTP for free from o2 may not be available when the transition happens to SKY

This is nothing to do with Sky, the deal won't be approved until May 16th.

O2 email servers are down.

It's easy to jump to conclusions but as stated this is nothing to do with the sale to Sky.

the burning question therfore is - for how long is this issue going to last ?

even when using webmail direct from the o2 site - i got the message "too buy" and "unable to connect to server"

it would be nice if o2 just put up a notice for us all - something nice and honest - "we are experiencing server problems - we are dealing with it and your email will be restored within 24/48 hours etc etc " - that would be refreshing : )
