Scam calls

For the last few weeks I’m receiving scam or silent calls all from O2 numbers. I’m wondering firstly, how did they get my number considering I generally don’t give it out and don’t get regular scam calls until now and secondly, why are they coming from O2 numbers? It just seems strange all the calls are O2 numbers:

0751 866 6323 - Can’t remember if I answered it but it’s not a known number to me

0751 866 3984 - disconnected when I answered

0751 866 4959 - Automated message about some legal investigation about me

0751 866 4523 - Automated message about some legal investigation about me

I don’t pay O2 money every month to be harassed by nuisance calls, it’s time the phone companies started using their extortionate fees to crack down on nuisance calls because we can’t do anything about them.

@AlanHJames  None of those numbers above belong to O2 as they are from mobiles. O2 never call or text from a mobile.  You need to change your contact preferences in My O2. Until then block the numbers. Don't answer calls or texts.
