Anyone had any trouble with Galaxy screens cracking for no reason? Had mine 6 months on Refresh and the screen suddenly stopped working so I took it in for repair, O2 sayng warranty is void due to physical damage. I think there may have been a small crack but it is definitely nothing I have done, phone has always had a case on and a screen protector and I've been extra careful with this one after smashing up a previous phone. I did notice that the phone used to get very hot so could this have been connected?

Hi @Anonymous I know this advice is given with hindsight but had you come here first we would have told you to contact Samsung directly and avoid O2 repairs. Samsung would have given you the best advice...if they felt the fault was caused by a manufacturing issue they may have replaced it for you. O2 repairs are notorious for blaming the customer sadly.
I have just checked and this appears to be a well reported fault with the A5. It may be worth giving Samsung a call http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/contactus.html

Ask o2 to return the phone to you unrepaired. It won't cost you.
Then contact Samsung directly.
They can check if it is a manufacturing fault that has caused the cracks.
