O2 UK + O2 Ireland?

Anonymous
Not applicable

hi everyone, new to forums etc...

but i was thinking, what is your opinions on O2 UK interlinking with O2 Ireland, so that consumers can get the best service possible, and still be able to use their tariffs etc when they are in our neighbouring country? It could be a federal system where they retain their names about are the one, whole network?

happy replies!

the biggest hurdle would be the eu and competition laws and the fact that the 2 countries do use seperate dialing codes so the ITU may be upset as well

Unlikely to happen as they are only licenced to operate in the relevant countries.

If it makes the place busier I'm up for it:)

Unfortunatly I don't see it happening:( I believe the tariffs are also different(non researched) so it would make uk giving Ireland advise on contracts and vice versa fairly counter productive:(

Hmm differing currencies for the same tariffs would only open up problems with exchange rates and so on. (Euros gone down against the pound English would be getting the same but more expensive vice versa)

I'd love to see it happen but I don't see it going anywhere unfortunatly:(

Ireland likes to show its independence of the uk I doubt they'd give the go ahead for a joint O2
