I telephoned O2 yesterday and I wonder if it's O2 standard policy to ask for my password. This worried me and I have since changed my password online.

Yes, of course it is.

How else would they be able to confirm that you were the account holder?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Thanks for the reply which is greatly appreciated. Maybe it’s many other organisations ask me personal questions to confirm my ID such as mother’s maiden name.
I’m always advised not to ever reveal passwords in order to avoid being scammed/hacked but what do I know.
Thanks again!

This password is setup by you specifically when contacting customer services, and should be different from your myo2 password.

They usually ask for specific characters.

You're welcome.

I called just before Christmas and was asked for the entire word too.

It's perfectly normal.
