O2 Open discount on Huawei P20 Pro

Just got my P20 Pro and was trying to add my O2 Open Doscount but keep getting a message saying : device associated with this number isn’t currently eligible for an O2 Open discount

Anyone have any ideas why this would be?

@sratansias it's a flagship phone you may have to wait a while before you are eligible for the discount.

You just need to keep checking via the terms and conditions in the link I posted above @sratansi

Maybe @Martin-O2 or @Marjo could confirm if it is eligible for open discount?

If the handset isn't yet eligible, by the time it is you won't be able to get the discount. It has to be applied in the first month and o2 is inflexible on this.

that is a shame as there no indication anywhere as to which handsets are eligible

It usually just list ones that aren't eligible, so none mentioned should mean none excluded.
