Hi Our Booster box appears to have stopped working, despite all the correct lights  showing. Is this because of the 3G cessation?

It may well be linked.

The main area being turned off at present are Durham town followed by Norwich, Telford, Guildford and Torquay.

That's not to say 3G Bootboxes don't have their own unannounced time scale

Really need to ask O2

Know that. That's why I suggested they may have their own timescale for shut down. Can't see O2 leaving them running

For info, EE switched-off their 3G booster box services in mid-2022, pushing people towards WiFi Calling. Can't see any reference in VMO2's 3G service closure blurb addressing these devices... only this Help doc, @stclears

Seems they stop working at the end of the year for everybody. Earlier if not used for 6 months.

Boostboxes will stop working in December 2025 (or sooner if they haven’t been used for six months).

As stated in the link shared, yes. Not sure about the mooted "new" 4G box, though, @Enlli.

I dont think there will be a new boostbox, as o2 have pushed Enterprises to use WiFi Calling, or installing pico cells in offices with backhaul via the companies LAN and WAN connections..

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company
