Mobile Phone Not Working!

Bought a mobile from O2 on line shop and was told in love chat the phone was UNLOCKED to any network.

Got phone, put sim card in, will not work.

Tried other networks will not work.

Phone just says Emergency Calls Only!

I am stuck!

Called O2 and was told to put the O2 sim card in phone and wait 24 hours as this should open up the phone. Done as retold but still not working.

Rang O2 many times only to get cut off.

Need this sorting ASAP as cannot use the phone.

Any help or advice would be most grateful.

No mate. I bought the phone as UNLOCKED as I already have a sim card I wanted to use.

Don't want to use O2.

I've just been messed about and conned here as the phone is not unocked like the salesman said it was.

Guess they tell any old lies to get a sale, cnuts!

The on-line chat salesman told me the same but this one isn't, it is a like new Huawei y6 2019 mobile.

Looks a nice phone just a shame its unuseable 😞

@chudofbroady O2 have not sold locked phones for several years now. Check to make sure you've got the sim in properly before sending the phone back.

They said the imei number of the phone had been barred in January BUT I didnt buy the phone until March 19th 2020 so that has got nothing to do with me.
