The reason I am getting it as I have moved jobs with new living accomadation I'm so high up in the building the Wifi does not reach me will it work for me? Nor does my 3g work on my mobile so I was hoping purchsing this will solve my problem with getting on the internet on my laptop.
Any suggestions will be help full

If you can get 3g in certain parts of the room then a mifi device on the network with the strongest 3g maybe the best option.
this is o2's https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/hotspots/zte-mf60/o2-pocket-hotspot/
It means you place the unit where it gets 3g and the laptop connects by wifi so you can move around but the mifi keep its signal.

If no 3g then a mobile broadband dongle will not help.

Although some reports do say they are not overly good.
Just an idea.

As Adam says with no 3G signal mobile BB just won't work.
Extending the wi-fi will depend on the distance from the wi-fi router and whose it is, as well as access to power points between the router and your flat.
Difficult I'm afraid.

That what I was meaning.
Ie instead of using mobile broadband see if the current wifi available can be extended.
Just an idea.

I would sugest that you look at other network coverage checker maps to see if you can get any 3g coverage in the flat but be aware depending on the height of the flat in relation to the mobile masts you may never see what is claimed.
Perhaps ask others in the flat what they use and do.

Thanks guys
There already is a Wifi Extender in the corridor but as it is a old sturdy building the walls are thick and just doesnt work, I can get 3G in certain parts of my room. When i ask my laptop to connect the serach comes up with 3g mobile internet and Orange I think that is what others are using but I am yet to meet them to discuss.
So if i cant use Wifi to connect to the internet is there any alternatives?
thanks again for you help
Helen

Sorry the wifi extender is not helping.
I'm not aware of anything else you could do.
Drastic ; move down if possible nearer to the router.
Let's hope the others in he building can shed some light.

Do you have a mobile dongle connected to the laptop then?
The network with the best signal is always the one to go for.
