I save the photos from my phone to disk at the local photo shop
it comes with a small thumbnail foto pix as an index of what's on disk
I'd like to transfer what's on disks (5 no. ish) to my laptop
I know nothing about the above at all
anyone help, I'd be grateful]

I have to say how much I love this thread...
So thanks @Anonymous for asking the question:smileywink:
My problem is laziness.. in that I leave my husband to do all this. (I always see him as 'techy').....and the old saying 'why have a dog and bark yourself' springs to mind
However, I have followed this every step of the way...and love the screenshots provided by @jonsie and @MI5 ...It makes it SO much clearer.
So you may have asked the question Jane but I think another pupil has learnt something new.
(My husband will be so pleased). Thanks all

Try this way, hope the instructions are easy to follow : Insert disc and click on computer.
Right click on the drive with your mouse and open.
You should then see all the photos.
Click the view options and select large icons.
Click on organise > select all > organise > copy.
Go to libraries and open Pictures
Create new folder, name it what you would like and open it. Select organise and paste.

Absolutely brilliant @jonsie . This is the way I learn best. Pictures WITH the explanation...
(Even though this is Wispa's thread I must reiterate how helpful I have found it
Thanks to you and @MI5
(Please note for future reference...if I ask for an explanation of how to do something techy..I would always want
pictures

hi guys
encouraged by O2C photos of pets, I want to post a pic of my cat here
I've been trying your very clear in words & pictures instructions
I seem to be able to get the photos in thumbnail form from disk to screen but not permanently
there is a menu on my laptop screen which says not enough mb space left
I know I'm making heavy weather of this
closing down now as my head is buzzing
any ideas guys?
