How to transfer number to payg?

Anonymous
Not applicable

My contract expires this month and I don't intend to upgrade to a new phone any time soon - my current phone will suffice for long term use. I want to transfer my number to payg but I don't know how you can do that online.

How can I switch to payg online? Thank you.

You need to call 202 as switching will obviously end your rolling contract. They will send you a P&G sim and produce the final bill. Full information here though I dont think the email link works now. You can try it...

As it requires an account termination it has to be dome through CS and it's most advisable to call then rather than using live chat.....

I went to the link you provided. The "emailing us" link worked and I have just sent an email to o2 requesting for a switch.

I wasn't sure it was still monitored. Did you get an acknowledgement email back?

This is the response I got. Very disappointing.

Hello,

***** Any Replies to this email will not be answered.*****

Thanks for your email, but we have now shut down our email support
service.

Don't worry though, for instant help speak to us on Live Chat, where
we'll try to solve your issue straight away.

When I ring o2 and request for a switch what sort of questions would they ask you? I've never experienced this process before so I want to be prepared. Thanks.

Please follow jonsie and MI5's advice and call Customer Service on 202 from your mobile. If you haven't had an acknowledgement email back you cannot be sure that the mail has been received. The call to 202 is free. There are times of the day when you may have to wait to get through, but it's the only way you can be sure that your request to switch will go through.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
