Emails or should I say no emails

Anonymous
Not applicable

A couple of days ago I called my main email address to get my business emails and found that I wasn't able to log in to my account.  The message I got back was that my inbox was full, which I thought was very odd, if this was true then why not let me log in and clear them down.

I tried again the following day and still couldn't get in again, thinking that maybe there was a problem with o2 servers and it would sort itself out later in the day.  I tried again but still no joy so I left it until today. And still nothing I did a live chat with o2 and much to my surprise I have found out that all o2 mobile accounts have been closed!  I was told that we were sent an email saying that our two accounts were being closed.  This was untrue we have checked back and o2 have not sent the said emails.

So without warning we have lost all our emails which as a sub account to mine and we have not been able repoint to other accounts.  So what does o2 say "Open a Hotmail or Gmail Account and repoint"  What the hell good is that we have to change a whole load of accounts on various sites to new email addresses!  Well done o2 you have manage to cause major problems for us and maybe thousands of other people by dumping emal accounts.  I think I shall be looking for a new phone provider.  You're letting people down.

Please read my post I had no emails none and I don't normally bother with forums as they seem to be pointless.

Would have been extremely valuable to you though in this instance wink

Not really, spend months if not years going through post just for the sake of a few. The forum would have been no help what so ever. I'm seriously thinking of giving o2 the push and moving to another supplier.

The forum has been discussing the closing of O2 email for months. That's what MI5 meant. Had you looked before you lost your accounts, or checked your mail prior to now, you would have known about this. Your threats to move to another supplier don't count for anything here. O2 don't monitor this site. We're all customers here. If you're unhappy, make a formal complaint, or vote with your wallet and move.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

We were told that the email service was being shut down on 1st November, except for broadband customers; I'm both home and mobile broadband, and post 1st Nov, I've been able to access both home and mobile broadband emails.  Up until today that is; the mobile broadband email will no longer allow me to access it, although I send emails to it form other accounts (I changed the majority of my online connections to an Outlook, but some sites/groups/people still have the mobile broadband contact).

Seems rather bizarre that it accept emails, but won't let me access them.  I had hope that the email address would have been migrated with the broadband (acknowledging that that email address was my access password for this site).

Also, are all mobile customers now on paper billing again?  I haven't looked for somewhere to change my email address for contacts, so how do they get in touch otherwise?

Regards,

Ian W

No they are not reverting back to paper - You can change your email in "My O2" or choose to have your bills sent by text message to your phone number.
