Emails or should I say no emails

Anonymous
Not applicable

A couple of days ago I called my main email address to get my business emails and found that I wasn't able to log in to my account.  The message I got back was that my inbox was full, which I thought was very odd, if this was true then why not let me log in and clear them down.

I tried again the following day and still couldn't get in again, thinking that maybe there was a problem with o2 servers and it would sort itself out later in the day.  I tried again but still no joy so I left it until today. And still nothing I did a live chat with o2 and much to my surprise I have found out that all o2 mobile accounts have been closed!  I was told that we were sent an email saying that our two accounts were being closed.  This was untrue we have checked back and o2 have not sent the said emails.

So without warning we have lost all our emails which as a sub account to mine and we have not been able repoint to other accounts.  So what does o2 say "Open a Hotmail or Gmail Account and repoint"  What the hell good is that we have to change a whole load of accounts on various sites to new email addresses!  Well done o2 you have manage to cause major problems for us and maybe thousands of other people by dumping emal accounts.  I think I shall be looking for a new phone provider.  You're letting people down.

I have told them, and if they take no notice of this forum then the comments you and others are posting are pointless. If anyone had the guts then o2 could have been forced to climb down. And once again I did not get an email telling me that the account was closing, and I know I'm not the only one. For a company to shut down a major service like this is a disgusting. There is no way that anyone can defend o2's actions.

Sad really, the service wasn't bad but due to the email issues they lose customers. Totally wrong attitude.

No one is defending them... All I said was if you'd paid more attention to the information outlets available to you, then you would have known in advance... and as for "having the guts" to take on O2.... Mate you are dreaming!!
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

What we post here is far from pointless. Maybe it is in this instance because you're not listening. If you had been able to look through your mails you most likely would have found the mail informing you of the shutdown. There have only been a handful of people saying they never received anything. They've come to the forum, had a rant and that was that. What wasn't handled very well was the speed at which O2 did this. They didn't give people a great deal of time to move, but what you fail to grasp is that the email service O2 was providing was free, and the number of people using the service was relatively small. It was obviously costing too much to keep it running, hence the shutdown.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Please read my post I had no emails none and I don't normally bother with forums as they seem to be pointless.

Are you going out of your way to be obnoxious? I said I have had no emails from o2 and as far my lack of knowledge as you don't know me or have know knowledge of who I am or what I know you should keep your opinions to yourself you odious person. And just in case you didn't know Plusnet is owned by BT. As to as being "superior" far from it. But I have in all probability been using computers far longer than you have. As you seem to think you are god's gift to o2 I'll let you carry on thinking that and not bother to reply to your pathetic postings. Do have a nice day.

Finally just to bring you up to date. On 16 November 2006, it was announced that BT were making an offer for all shares in Plusnet. The BT deal (worth approximately £67m) was declared unconditional on 24 January 2007

I knew that and was a customer of Plusnet at the time, I also know that it continued to be run by the existing staff with no interference from BT.

Therefore the two cannot be compared with regards to the service offered.

It's sad that you can't join in and be a part of the community.

Your insults are too silly to justify a response! Smiley Indifferent
