Records:
Called yesterday: 15 minutes and no one picked up
Called again: Yet another 10 minutes
Web chat: 10 minutes before anyone responded then immediately disconnected.
Called today: 15 minutes on hold still no answer
How do I get compensation for a company that is charging its users to call in?! On top of this, having been with them for over 8 years, they do not even offer any deals on their products.
I have had enough of O2
EDIT: I would like to point out that I have to call from a Landline because there is no signal in my area. I have, for the past couple of years living in this new place been unable to receive and make calls from my mobile phone

@Anonymous @Anonymous
If need to make calls I end up using Skype if I need to call and iMessage/whatsapp (the latter more so) are more than enough to reach any person without carrier/device exclusions.
Thanks to everyone for all your feed back, this has just shown me that what I am experiencing is COMMON and predictable.
My contract ends in a few days, and I wil lbe leaving. I would recommend that you all do as well. Why wait until you reach my situation? It is inevitable.

@Anonymous just because they don't price match it doesn't mean they wont make you an offer...it may even be better than the one you found with the other provider, you'll never know if you don't try

@Anonymous an O2 staff member said that they would not likely do it. This thread does confirm my suspiscions. 4 days to go and I will let everyone know.

Well we can only guess, only retentions can say if they will do it or not and you don't need to wait 4 days to do it, if want to disconnect it's a 30 days notice.If you use a pac code it will take a couple of days to port and if you prefer, as the pac code is valid for 30 days you can use it only after the contract expires.

I would totally agree with this. Obviously it is important to @Anonymous that he stays with O2. If he keeps trying for a better deal and gets it then job well done.
I have always found, if I don't get satisfaction the first time I phone, I would ring again and get another advisor who hopefully would be more helpful. Perseverance is the key. Best of luck with it all...:smileywink:
