Last week I received a text message telling me that from 27 June I was given 4G access at no extra charge.
On looking in My O2, Bolt Ons section, I can see 4G access and that it is free and is active and has no end date.
Although 4G is not in my area yet. I was wondering if I will need a new sim card, so that I can receive 4G when in a 4G coverage area?
I have an iPhone 5s.

Is 4G at no extra charge available to PAYG customers?
I tried to request it through Live chat but got nowhere. They just offered me the £15 a month deal...
I've got a 4G phone, 4G SIM and live and work in London, so I'd really like to be able to use 4G! Other providers are giving their customers 4G at no extra charge and I know O2 has done for some customers too

So basically it isn't possible to get 4G at no extra charge if one (like me) only tops up £10 per month...
What a shame. Might have to move to Tesco Mobile

Thanks for all the replies.
It is a bummer. So it's only Pay monthly who get it free?
Believe it or not I've been with o2 for 15 years!
Might do simplicity, might leave...
