Good news - It was probably the port that hadn't completed fully earlier and has now caught up with itself....

It's not clear if you have the correct number on the sim but it is being displayed incorrectly or if you want to transfer a number to a new sim?

If you go to http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/ you can activate a new sim card for your O2 number.

If the number is on a different account (another network, O2 contract, O2 Pay as you go) and you want it to take over your current 'temporary' number - give customer services a call and they can do this for you.

Hi Thanks for the reply, What it is, is i bought the nokia lumia from 02 and they sent a micro sim card included, what  i have done is swapped my own number over to the new sim card and working ok except for txt. the new sim card still has the original number, as i have found out by going through the settings and i think this is why i am not receiving txt`s. what i am wanting to know is how to change the sim card number to display  my own number.

hope you understand what i`m trying to say

The number that you want to keep - what was that on before you asked to transfer it to the nokia?

Like, was it still on O2? Also - when did it supposedly change over?

The number on the sim may not be able to be changed without some jiggery pokery but it shouldn't effect you. The correct O2 message centre numbers are what is important and these should be +447802000332 for Pay Monthly
+447802092035 for Pay & Go. Check in your message settings if these are correct.

Once i opened the link it took me to "call your voice mailbox" for the nokia lumia 610 and going through that  like i say no wiser, anyway i have a guru booked for 2moro at 10`oclock see what happens with them. thinking back a year or so my original sim card was relpaced because it was nearly in 2 pieces and 02 managed to get my sim card (now) to work ok with original number but i cant remember how they did it. If this is doing your head in i will understand if i get no reply.LOL.thanks anyway for your time.
