Ok so too long a story for here, short version...... phone repaired, then broke again, then replaced, sim too large for new replacement, smaller one ordered, Sim card activated and try to set up msm via 2020, FAIL, numerous calls to O2, email sent back with instructions as follows....
Got to 3 and see NO option to add APN?
Its a Nokia Lumia 620

Lee, ignore all that for now.
From the home screen, swipe your finger to the side for the long list of applications.
Scroll down and look for 'Network Setup'. Tap on that and make sure it says "O2 UK" if you are on contract or "O2 UK Pay & Go" if you are Pay&Go.
Let us know if that works? You may need to turn the phone off and back on after.

Thanks for speedy reply, but Jeez I'm not having much luck no "network setup" in list.... I do have mobile network "O2 - uk"

Hmm, that's a bit annoying.
On that list you should have one that says 'Marketplace'. If you can go here and do a wee search for 'Network Setup' and just download the app?
If your mobile internet isn't working you will have to be connected to WiFi to do this.

Your not going to believe this but its doesn't have "marketplace" either I get a fault when trying to access internet and wifi, its been a long week, I've had the phone and one problem after another, sim too large, different charger to previous mobile, old sim and contacts on it but didn't transfer over as my old sim was large sim and new mobile is the mini, I can however drive 20 miles to nearest O2 shop with a 1 and 2yr old to get them to change over sim contacts..... (mmmmmm this will NOT put me or kids in best of moods lmao) if I have to take 2 kids on a 40mile round trip I think I may actually throw the mobile at someone! lol Got to put kids to bed now will try again and see if I can see anything else once they are bedded, Thanks for your help muchio appreciated!! I don't think I can stand another LONG convo to O2 this late in evening

The phones should all have marketplace by default. Are you sure you are swiping your figner to the long list of applications?
So here is the homepage on the left and if you swipe your finger to the side the applications page on the right will show up:
Also, what is the fault when you try to access wifi?

Ok I'm finally back and have been on chat with Guru for last however long, long convo tried
"Tap Settings > Tap Access Point > Tap O2 – UK" nothing
then
"
Now, we'll try second method.
Leeann:
ok
Pat:
Now, please tap Settings > Tap Access Point > Tap Add" nothing
then
"
Pat:
Leeann, in order to sort this out I'll need to make a few changes on your account and this may take a few hours to complete.
Leeann:
no problem
Pat:
I'll remove the Internet services from your account and then I'll add again.
Leeann:
ok
Leeann:
ok
Pat:
This resolves the problem most of the times.
Pat:
So, I'd request you that please wait for a few hours and then switch off the phone for a few minutes.
Pat:
Your Internet will be working fine after that.
Pat:
SMS setting is not supported on your handset.
Pat:
Your Internet will be working fine after that.
Pat:
If for any reason the problem still persists after that then we'll need to replace your SIM card"
so will see what 2moro brings......
