Sons sim card

Hello we ordered a new sim for my sons watch, it wouldnt let us top up using the watch as it wouldn't show a dial pad so we entered the sim into our mobile phone and topped it up.

After putting it back into watch thinking it would be fine for him to use  it doesn't get any signal.

Have we done something wrong by putting this into our phone?  Thanks.

No, that won't have harmed anything.

You probably need to input the O2 apn settings into the watch.
