Problems Connecting Nikia Lumia 620 to PC

Anonymous
Not applicable

I picked up my new Nokia Lumia 620 on Saturday. Nice phone etc., but having a problem connecting to computer for file transfer.

Tried at first on my home PC (Vista). Computer recognises that the phone is there, but finds nothing in it i.e. no files/folders. Cut and paste from PC to phone does not work. Computer tried to download drivers, which failed to install. Do I actually need these drivers? If so, can they be obtained on CD for manual download?

Today, connected to work PC (Windows 7). Exactly the same. Recognised that the phone was there, but nothing in it, nothing could be transferred into it. Tried “Import pictures and photos” on PC, got an error message “Photo Acquisition has stopped working”   Details went on APPCRASH rundll32.exe_PhotoAcq.dll …….

I trailed round three different O2 shops on Sunday, but could not find anyone who could help…….hoping maybe someone in the O2 Community can! I hope to resolve this quickly, so I am still in the ‘7-day return’ period if I need to abandon this phone and choose another!

Suggestions appreciated.

Cheers,

MiniEm

Most likely just a driver issue, although you would expect windows to deal with it wink Make sure your search windows update when searching for the drivers.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
