I been having issues with my blackberry Z10 ever since O2 converted to 4G.

I phoned o2 on Monday and they said signal is fine and I said check again as I keep getting lower case 3g not 3G on my phone.

There IT said we can change your number on your contract, I said no way as I had it longer then O2 been around and then on further check they then said there appear be an error on my sim card and now they sending me a new one.

O feel O2 is letting us loyal customers down as they want push 4G and leave 3G users in the background.

Anyone else having similar issue ?????????????????????

No, not at all.
Check for local issues here http://status.o2.co.uk/
There is a lot of work going on at the moment with the network which is resulting in some losses in some areas temporarily......

If you can try your sim in an alternative phone.

To rule out your phone as the issue and not the network.

If your Z10 is showing 3g then you have a 3G signal, the lower case g just indicates you are not connected to Blackberry servers. If you weren't getting 3G at all you would see gprs or e, or when connected with Blackberry GPRS or E.

Check your Blackberry ID settings are all correct.

4G only provides data it does not support voice so o2 are just as concerned to keep the 3g going

Not entirely correct. The 3g indicates that there is a network signal there but the phone can't connect to it properly. The OP will probably find that he/she has no data connection while 3g is showing.

When a phone starts up it (from memory) normally cycles from no network to gprs to GPRS to 3g and then to 3G. As some point during this you will see the BlackBerry "dots" next to the signal inidicator which shows that you have connected to the BlackBerry services.

What problems are you experiencing with your phone? Are you able to make/receive calls and send/receive texts? Can you access the internet on your phone? Do you see the BlackBerry "dots" next to the signal indicator?

This is something I can relate to, as since O2 started pushing out 4G  and updated the software on the Z10 I can no longer select to connect only via 2G only or only via 3G only as they took that option away from us.
