Any windows experts have any idea why a laptop would literally take 30 minutes to boot up and then take another 30 minutes to respond to anything like opening explorer or internet browser etc.

It's a fairly new Acer, AMD Ryzen 5 and Radeon Graphics card.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Well it's experiences that I have had really, only mentioned the bad as bad experience turns up here alot @Anonymous 🤭
But really wonderful buying experience ARGOS and JOHN LEWIS
I used to buy my laptops from PC World after that I would never return and really best thing I ever did (out of bad comes good)
Currys too washing machines but I will never support that group again.
I have had far far better CS from elsewhere and happy experiences.
When purchasing new machines, all kinds.

PCW had very bad reviews however they may have changed now who knows, I don't care.

If you don't share your experiences the scoundrels get away with it and never change.

I've had an equally as bad experience with Argos.
I don't believe good customer services exist anywhere all the time these days.
Rest assured though that if I need to fight, I will wink

My son arranged for the purchase of the laptop I use, details in my signature below ... for electronic items I prefer Alex to buy them for me (I put money upfront) ... ... ... I am happy with Skipton O2 shop for buying my phones when contract up or they fall into canal

There is a nearby laptop / computer centre run by a good guy (self-employed) ... I trust him & just pay up if necessary as I am rather inept at doing things like wiping the hard drive ... my son has a busy life & I do not wish to bother him anymore ... ... ... I simply just bother the Regulars on the community now wink LOL Fantastic

Wise @Anonymous

My family have had terrible experiences with PCW - Currys

In the past they made you sign a form to say

you had refused the Master Care insurance scam.

All this has been exposed since, of course.

Recent Trustpilot one star out of 5  conclusion bad, nearly 3000 reviews

horrendous company.

Once you are out of the Shop they don't care about

the Consumer Act. Staff must be trained to fob you off.

Very wise to go to a company that will treat you with respect

and follow guide lines to help a customer through difficulties

if needed.

Thank you @JAZZ-trad

I believe competent Customer Care / Services is vital in today's world ... or ... you go elsewhere ... or ... you could loose money / patience ... or ... in for a whole load of hassle ... etc

Well when large Accountant run companies emerged

the smaller family firm or business dwindled.  They had to care because their customers were essential to them.  They were known in the town.

Accountant run companies do not care about customers, it is turn over.

Well put @Anonymous
