Hi guys,
It was interesting to hear about your preferences when it comes to Tennis earlier, and as there's now another sports event starting this week, the Winter X Games in Aspen, I'd love to hear if you also follow this one or if you're interested in any of the winter sports included in the event!
I wasn't familiar with this myself before looking into it further just now. Did you know they also have music gigs at the X Games? I saw at least Lil Wayne, Kygo, Chainsmokers and Louis the Child listed in the schedule.
There's many types of winter sports happening (you can see a full schedule here), most likely not all of them televised though - for example:
Are you interested in any of these sports? Any other winter sports that you follow and/or have tried yourself? I did a lot of cross-country skiing and ice skating in my childhood as they were mandatory winter activities at school, but haven't done anything since many years ago. Perhaps I might go ice skating sometime this year.

My one and only attempt saw me hanging on to the barrier for dear life. I circled half the rink like this then fell into the escape gateway....
That was it. Tried it...never again
I was good at roller skating though.
I was pants at roller skating as well @Cleoriff
It's a balance issue for me, I fell down so often I eventually gave it up as not for me. I stuck to walking or riding my bike. Now this I could do

It certainly is in the village at the moment. I've not been able to set foot outside the house for 3 days

Well it's -2° in my part of London and clear. Fingers crossed it stays clear until I take my rubbish down. I only have 4 steps down to the street and maybe 3/4 steps to where I leave my rubbish. But if it snows or even rains when it's below freezing it can be very slippery underfoot.

-2 here and the snow has frozen over with a fresh lot reportedly on it's way. The gritters can't get round the village side roads though I did see a guy with a handcart throwing sand on our steepish crescent....still in the 1950's round here! No bins emptied yesterday and my son tells me it's treacherous underfoot/feet/foot so I'm staring at the same four walls all week, thought I'd finished with all that after last year.

Sorry to hear you're snowed in @jonsie with more on the way. It's cold here but dry, though they're predicting fog. Nothing worse than being stuck indoors when you want or need to go out.
I've got used to not going out much but mine is more of a choice than a restriction due to weather, and I've plenty to keep me busy and my mind active. For me there's not enough hours in the day but you sound bored to tears @jonsie and I feel for you. There's nothing worse.

According to the weather forecast I saw earlier on BBC1 it's on the way @Cleoriff. For Wales, the South West, the North East and the South East including London. Anything from 3-7 centimetres in the South to, I think she said, 10 centimetres in the North. Happy days
