For anyone who uses it on PC or laptop, it appears the Anniversary Update is causing problems.

I can forgive the odd glitch here and there, because as soon as an issue has been identifed, Microsoft will invariably be pulling out all the stops to get it resolved. It's often counterproductive waiting for what you hope might be a flawless release, because you could be missing out on important security patches in the meantime.

I didn't have a choice, and I believe that's the default option nowadays where updates are concerned (unless you've made any changes to your settings to enable you to opt out?). That was supposed to improve our online security (i.e. automatic updates), even if it means accepting a few things that we may not welcome. But I wouldn't be put off by anything you may have read about the anniversary release, just try it and make your own mind up (you can always roll back to your current version).

Edit: it seems you can't opt out of receiving updates. I'm sure I read advice to the contrary, but this article suggests otherwise.

I haven't had any notification about the Anniversary Update on either of my laptops. My other half read something about it...searched and installed it. My settings are the same on my laptops as his. He sets them up so I know they will be the same....

I forced the update by using the windows 10 upgrade tool. I have no problems whatsoever apart from downloading the Blue stacks player and the app for mobdro which caused no end of freezing and crashing. Uninsulated and gave up on it. Filmontv is the way to go for me and I use the Web version. No footy but the bar isn't too far.....

Dunno mate but Modbro freezes on both mobiles and tablets after 20 seconds whether it's wifi or 4G. Manged to watch the last F1 but it wasn't a good experience.

I can only think the same. Only the sports section unfortunately,  the rest of the channels I can watch ok through the one of the five options for each channel.
