According to that article, the UK already has it's own 5G testing centre in Surrey scheduled to open in September (backed with 60million funding)?
That should upset a lot of people who have yet to get 4G?

Key word is "test". It will be a minimum of 5 years before they decide they all need a standard definition of 5G then another 5 years to get the rollout going followed a realisation they don't have the money to do it so cue more mergers and takeovers. In the meantime, prices will go up in the form of reduced data allowances....whilst we've all moved away from phones and be using the nearest connected device for our data needs. The Internet of Things is here already....
