Yikes. Imagine that here? Piperdog123 won't be able to moan about only getting 2g when there could be 3g, 4g and 5g lol.

There was a report out a week or two back saying that in test conditions 5g was up to 65000 times faster than 4g.

And we need home broadband because. ...... If the mobile networks got it right they could wipe BT and Virgin off the map.

According to that article, the UK already has it's own 5G testing centre in Surrey scheduled to open in September (backed with 60million funding)?

That should upset a lot of people who have yet to get 4G?

Key word is "test". It will be a minimum of 5 years before they decide they all need a standard definition of 5G then another 5 years to get the rollout going followed a realisation they don't have the money to do it so cue more mergers and takeovers. In the meantime, prices will go up in the form of reduced data allowances....whilst we've all moved away from phones and be using the nearest connected device for our data needs. The Internet of Things is here already....
