What Made Me Angry Today

Following on from the 'happy today' thread....

I am appalled, angered and very sad reading this article in the local paper today.

Whilst the preservationists around the world are up in arms about the danger of wildlife extinction, the imbeciles in the Thai army-controlled government make this insane decision. Beyond livid!

More sad news from Thailand concerning the elephants :

"A day after a mother elephant was heard crying for its calves, people in a community east of Bangkok found not one but two dead young elephants in the nearby wetlands."

Traumatic for the mother and thankfully we can take great pleasure from HOPE the Community elephant thanks to @Mi-Amigo

Sad news indeed @jonsie 

I should like to make clear, as I pointed out on the May Recap thread, that it is @jonsie who deserves the credit - for posting this thread on the plight of the elephants in Thailand which prompted me to try and do something, which led to the adoption of the Elephant Family and our little Hope.

Awful news @jonsie 

Tragic. The terrible thing is elephants rarely  forget such trauma. You only have to watch Elephant Diaries to see how depressed and sad they become at the loss of a calf, or a calf losing it's mother.

Very sad news @jonsie. Makes me sick to think what that poor mother elephant is going through at the loss of her calves. Despicable people carrying out despicable acts. They should all be locked up and the key lost down a well.
