Following on from the 'happy today' thread....
I am appalled, angered and very sad reading this article in the local paper today.
https://news.lovepattayathailand.com/national/new-regulation-lifts-ban-on-export-of-elephants/
Whilst the preservationists around the world are up in arms about the danger of wildlife extinction, the imbeciles in the Thai army-controlled government make this insane decision. Beyond livid!

@gmarkj wrote:This is the little white cupboard on the side of the house.
You might get a letter or small book in there but not much else.
And shouldn't really have several electrical items shoved in there!
Edited to add image - one of these, but with a smally clear section at the top!
Just noticed this @gmarkj (missed it when you posted). Our meter cupboard is nothing like that at all.
It's right next to the front door and is the same size as a kitchen door unit and when open probably the same dimensions of a kitchen cupboard.

Did I just imagine lots of Londoners all penned in together watching a firework display?
Please tell me I did?

I didn't see anyone standing watching? I did see a few cars travelling over the bridge but no sign of standing spectators.
Having said that, the police did break up a number of NYE parties and handed out £10, 000 fines.

Well I watched it along with other half and I can honestly say we never saw any spectators. The cameras must have kept well away from them @Anonymous
Also usually you hear Oohhs and Ahhs and cheers. Nothing at all.
@Anonymous check the date on that article. It was 2019, last year. They didn't use the London Eye at all this year! So you can stop being furious now.
