Toothache advice ๐Ÿค’

Cat mouth open

Hey guys,

One of my wisdom teeth has started coming out over the weekend, and I have an appointment tomorrow to get it looked at. In the meantime though, it's rather painful ... do you guys have any advice on how to reduce the pain, apart from painkillers? I don't know if ice, or any sort of tea maybe, might help for example. Also any food you'd recommend to eat, that wouldn't be too challenging? sweat

Thanks!

That sounds intense, I've never tried it! I'll see if I can get my hand on some, cheers @MI5 thumbsup Are cloves by themselves also good for pain relief in your experience?

Orajel is pretty good @EmilieT . Can be bought at chemists and in different strengths depending on the level of pain thumbsup

PS warm soup is ok to eat. Not hot as it will add to the pain.

Not cloves, just the oil. Any chemists will stock it.

Sorry to hear that your tooth is giving you pain, nothing worse really. @EmilieT
I have used clove oil too comes in small bottle from chemist use just a small amount put on finger and gently around tooth with the your finger but the only painkiller for that as far as I'm concerned is paracetamol. Good luck sure you'll be ok.

Whisky on the affected area.....you could also drink a lot of it and you forget the pain....

Seriously, you have my sympathies @EmilieT

Re: Toothache advice ๐Ÿค’

Suffer the pain devil Compared to having injections in your mouth, its not that bad. Believe me even with the anaesthetic cream those needles hurt. Fortunately you won't feel the cut from the scapel. Which probably isn't helping you much yahoo

If its coming out by itself then anything you take is only going to delay the actual pain of when its removed and healing. Ice is probably your best choice now  - small bag of peas is more comfortable. Obviously you shouldn't eat either unless you want to. Water is probably the safest thing to have for now as everything you want to eat will aggrevate it in ways you never knew.

When I had a wisdom tooth removed (sadly nothing wrong with but had to come out due to an implant issue), it wasn't painful and healed up quite quickly.

Best advice: never go on a conference call after having dental work.
