Another similar taste in music. I used to like The Shadows [but not a fan of Cliff] but my fav tracks were Apache and FBI slight_smile

Apache was the best 45 by the Shadows. I was a fan of Cliff in the 60s but I sorts outgrew him when The Beatles burst into my life. 

.. .. but Cliff, along with Billy Fury, Marty Wilde brought the American style rock 'n roll to the masses here in the UK.

I find it strange that music here changed every few years apart from arguably The Stones, Beatles etc era  

Skiffle and rock' n roll in its early form lasted only a few years apiece.

Then along came John Paul George & Ringo....

Hello @jonsie you mention Billy Fury in your post ... he was a favourite of mine ... I still put his songs on the juke box in the town's Working Mens Club

Remember him well on tv show 'Thank Your Lucky Stars' on a Saturday night
