kicked my old basic Epson printer in frustration many many months ago
therapeutic for me for about 3 nano-seconds but really, really bad for the printer

Ah yes - old Val Do-it-a-gain. Mum used to let us stay up late to watch him when we were naughty. More effective than corporal punishment I recall!!
