@RunrigForever

Anne Cleeves is the author of Vera. She also wrote Shetland. I've not read the books but watched every episode of both series.

Nora Roberts is the US best selling author.  She used to write Love stories but now mixes thrillers into her love stories. She also writes under the name of JD Robb and those stories are her 'In Death' series. Her heroine is  Lieutenant Eve Dallas who is in charge of the New York Police Dept. Set in the future (about 2072) She has written about 30 books as JD Robb. Eve is married to a billionaire called Roarke. Brilliant books. Hard to put down once you start.

Like you, my favourite author when a kid was The Famous Five and Secret Seven books by Enid Blyton. 🤗

Also I have 3 books by Peter May - a trilogy to look forward to reading.

@Oxonian ..... didn't know he was a member of the Communards ..... did he do SCD Strictly Come Dancing ?

Just landed through the letterbox today - Forever Max by Kerry Irving ..... did man save dog or did dog save man = the 1st book is Max the Miracle Dog ... ... ... centred around the Lake District. Kerry is now a Freeman of Keswick and says he can now drive his flock of sheep through the town = well, he would if he had any ha ha ha !

Team Irving do a lot of fundraising for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Follow them on Facebook ... = ... Max Out in the Lake District = it is very therapeutic and goes global xx :slight_smile:

Yes @RunrigForever, he did. He also recently won a cookery show. He was also co-presenter of Saturday Live on BBC Radio 4, but was replaced when the show was moved from London to Cardiff. 😀

So we set off for Yarmouth at 11.30am. It just started to drizzle. Then for most of the journey it was lashing down. Just as we reached the sign for Gt. Yarmouth the rain stopped and now at 4.30pm, the sun is out!

Just finished unpacking. The remainder of the gang have yet to arrive. (They set off 2 hrs after us.)😂
