I'm back now @gmarkj . It rained heavily 15 minutes before I left hairdressers, just stopped when I stepped out of the door. Damn good job. I forgot my brolly!!

Question? Why does it tend to get dark quicker in Autumn, compared to getting lighter during Spring?

I know I'm a natural light fanatic but this gets on my wick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a positive note, it's Russian F1 this weekend, with Lewis Hamilton aiming to reach Schumachers record of 91 race wins. Something to look forward to.

Oh and my friends trying to get back from Tenerife? Yet again Jet 2 have cancelled their flight for the 4th time now. They have given up and will be returning with Ryanair on the 4th October.

Sun is out and yet it's the coldest day so far at 5c.

The other half has another gala day at his bowls club. This will be the final meeting of this weird season.

No outside matches with other teams. Good job it's quite a large club so there ar plenty of men and women who can arrange matches from within the club.

Yes, I agree with what you have said @Cleoriff that the light goes quicker in Autumn than it comes back in the Spring
