Belated Happy Birthday @jonsie! Sorry to hear that it was a bit of a challenging one, but hope you're feeling a bit more yourself now - and that you make it to the pub with your Son sometime soon! If not, when you're allowed I'm going to come over there and buy you a pint myself.

Anybody want a dose of man flu? 😞 Not impressed...yesterday I thought I was just feeling a bit rough after an overindulgent evening of Malbec and Lagavulin 16, haha, however this morning it's definitely some kind of terminal illness. thermometer_face

My usual tipple of choice is Dalwhinnie @Beenherebefore, however the bottle was getting a little low and I've not seen any offers recently - the Lagavulin was an offer from last Christmas and it is a nice warmer.

Tonight I think it will be the cheap blended stuff in a hot toddy though. 😞

You're right, they are at opposite ends of the spectrum entirely!

The Lagavulin certainly has a smokey kick to it, rather harsh but warms you through nicely.

Dalwhinnie goes down a little too well haha, so smooth and rich.

Tonight will be Grouse, honey and lemon 😞 Hate mixing my scotch with anything, but needs must and if it helps give me a chance to speak and breathe tomorrow then I'm all for it. Lucky today that I can hide behind my desk feeling sorry for myself, but got a meeting to be in tomorrow where I'm going to be speaking a lot so need something. Actually, I think a week on a hot beach somewhere is probably the best cure wink

Hi @jonsie

I've just posted your birthday card ... LOL ... sorry mate, I've had the card for a bit of time = just not had the card & your address together at the same time when near a post box = I know, it's not good enough is it? ... I used the train station post box so it'll probably reach you on Wednesday, all being well

Good on you @Wa10 heart for planning to visit our @jonsie Hug

I'm promising to come over on The Witchway bus = A Transdev Bus Service - I have a free disabled bus pass & if I begin my journey after 9:30am I should reach you in time for afternoon visiting hours

Please be thinking about anything you'd like me to bring you ... I'll take you to the pub  Cheers Bouncy Dance

What a stunningly beautiul part of Spain you live in @Beenherebefore ... = ... blue sky,  blue water, architecture, greenery, outdoor living ... it must be such a tonic to be there? ... not been to Spain (yet?) ... been to the Estoril coastline of Portugal in about 35 years ago = it was memorable ... a good friend of mine recently spent 3 weeks in Algorfo, Costa Blanca & he looks / feels so well, he was visiting friends out there & is planning another trip next year ... no wonder our wonderful @Cleoriff enjoys / ed having her own appartment for many years out there in the Mediterranean sunshine

Any vacances for a 'Girl Friday' living at the bottom of your garden @Beenherebeforesun sunflower star

I'll look forward to it @Wa10

No I never got to the pub but I did get a lovely birthday cake from the nurses. I managed one piece before they scoffed the lot!

My God, you have man flu? Oh dear Lord that's very serious, maybe you should be in here and not playing the hero by going in to work. I'm guessing you have a lady boss as unfortunately they've never suffered such traumatic symptoms. ...
