Hi everyone,

I was thinking of some cool gadgets and tech earlier today and had a thought about one that I think would be pretty cool if developed....

Here's a question for you: what kind of technological advancements (like new gadgets, devices or features to existing ones for example) would you put on your wish list for the future?

I want to see all kinds of ideas in this thread, even those that are very tiny fun ones, or big important ones that might seem impossible at this point in time. grin

@Martin-O2 Something of a food paradox there then...because if there's anything that's going to encourage more people to indulge in replicated fayre it's a double helping of leola root stew, haha.

I think you're onto something there @Wa10! The old leola root stew got a bad rep throughout the series Smiley Very Happy

I haven't seen that series yet! I'm still watching Next Generation. Now I'm spoiled about pot roast!

Ah bummer, sorry @Marjo! Will make sure I use <spoiler> and <hunger> tags for future (pun intended!) culinary posts, haha.

You're in for a treat when you get there, I was originally a traditionalist but now find Voyager and DS9 fighting for my favourite series...and I think VOY comes out on top at the moment slight_smile Nothing at all to do with the delightful Jeri Ryan of course wink hehe

I think what I prefer about both compared to earlier series is the continuing storyline. This is more prevalent in later DS9 episodes than earlier ones, whereas with Voyager it's basically one story with multiple plot twists from beginning to end.

Sisko has his merits, but good shout on Janeway!

It's hard to pick a favourite out of DS9 and Voyager. DS9 deals with the conflict between science and religion and Voyager looks at keeping your values even under extremely difficult circumstances so you can take something away from both series.

To be honest, if you are a true Trekkie and evolved with the series, then each series, whilst being a million light years from the original, was there to be enjoyed as long as you didn't try to compare or overevaluate. It took me a long time to accept TNG but after that I enjoyed every series evolvement. I loved all the films, especially the guest appearances by original crew. I think they were all managed very well apart from Nemesis which must rank as one of Tom Hardy's most embarrassing roles...definitely not the actor he now is!

I lie...although I loved the original crew spin offs, the comedy Star Trek (IV?) The Voyage Home was awful, a bit like the Tribbles from the original series, you put up with it because you are a Trekkie!

Thoughts on best film....?

For me it has to be the Wrath of Khan......
