Problem with emails from Forum

Morning,

I just wanted to ask others if they have experienced problems receiving email notifications from this forum?

(I did think of posting this in the BT Yahoo mail thread, but personally I am not convinced my problem IS

anything to do with that)

My emails come in via BTinternet and BT yahoo mail.

I subscribe on this forum, to receiving notifications when someone replies to a topic I am following.

Yesterday I made a number of posts  and from 16.47pm I received NOTHING from this forum.

I say nothing...but I did get PM's immediately...which was confusing to say the least

Emails from other people and forums continued to arrive into my inbox on time. (hence my rationale

that it is an O2 forum problem and nothing to do with my server or internet provider)

This morning? 45 emails into my inbox...ALL from O2 forum and ALL out of sequence

So this is annoying. I am not constantly on the forum.I occasionally log on...however if someone replies

to a thread I am following, once I get the email, I log on to reply if needed.

So, a bit of a straw poll really ...to ask if anyone.else is experiencing this problem?

NB. I know of one member who experienced this yesterday. (though for me this has happened before)

Mine is sorted now I think.

I just got two test PMs from Toby and got notifications for both. However they went in my spam folder. Moved them to inbox so hopefully all will now go straight there

@Anonymous  Mine seems ok now, however when this has happened before, its usually late afternoon when they stop coming in.

If you don't mind I will wait for the days end and then let folk know via this thread.

We can't see anything wrong from our side but should the problem persist/come back we'll investigate further.

I'm going to check with Bt online when I get home to see if they are transferring me from yahoo to BtMail which may be affecting me.

Update ; My e mails seem to have levelled out @Anonymous and @Toby

Unfortunately MINE have not....Its the 3pm syndrome again.

I have had nothing in since that time...and after scouting around I should have had THREE notifications at

least

EDIT: I have just found 2 PM's that I had no notifications about. Last night I did at least get these...

Not happy I am afraid.

What's that expression?.....'I've started so I'll finish'...

Over a 24 hr period from the O2 forum....

1) Email notifications come in on time during the course of the morning...these include topics I am following,
    @mentions and PM notification emails

2) From 3pm,  absolutely nothing (and there should have been at least 20 in total). This included 4 PM's

3) About 10pm last night, i started to get them (NOT the ones I had missed, just new ones from 10pm)

4) Opened up computer this morning....and voila...all those I had missed from 3pm yesterday came flooding in.

I do have to point out that this glitch is only with O2 forum email notifications.... every other email I expect comes in on time.

So...yes I am with BTInternet...for one set of emails...and also BT Yahoo (for back up)...and it appears to this non techy person that there IS a glitch ...probably from BT.....but only with emails from O2?

And if I am honest its the last bit that I don't understand...why only from the O2 forum?

So maybe, if you want to put me out of my misery, a technical expert could explain? My husband is very technical and a whiz with computers...and this is beyond him!
