Problem with emails from Forum

Morning,

I just wanted to ask others if they have experienced problems receiving email notifications from this forum?

(I did think of posting this in the BT Yahoo mail thread, but personally I am not convinced my problem IS

anything to do with that)

My emails come in via BTinternet and BT yahoo mail.

I subscribe on this forum, to receiving notifications when someone replies to a topic I am following.

Yesterday I made a number of posts  and from 16.47pm I received NOTHING from this forum.

I say nothing...but I did get PM's immediately...which was confusing to say the least

Emails from other people and forums continued to arrive into my inbox on time. (hence my rationale

that it is an O2 forum problem and nothing to do with my server or internet provider)

This morning? 45 emails into my inbox...ALL from O2 forum and ALL out of sequence

So this is annoying. I am not constantly on the forum.I occasionally log on...however if someone replies

to a thread I am following, once I get the email, I log on to reply if needed.

So, a bit of a straw poll really ...to ask if anyone.else is experiencing this problem?

NB. I know of one member who experienced this yesterday. (though for me this has happened before)

Yes @jonsie and nothing goes in there? It wouldn't make sense really as they come in fine in the morning.

So just to say, I didn't get either your notification email of this post or the one from @Anonymous at 2.27pm.

I browsed forum offline, saw there had been further replies and logged in to answer

Hi @Toby Is there any news on this from the Lithium team?

My situation re receiving emails from the O2 forum is getting worse and I didn't think that was possible.

Over the past 2 days, I get in every email from the previous day as soon as I log on and check emails in the

morning....(this morning 40 emails came in together, from yesterdays posts)

I am missing PM's because email notifications are failing to come through on time (if at all)

A key to this may be, I get every email on time from OLD threads (Win a Google Nexus Is the one I mean)

Anything else is intermittent and sporadic....or not at all.

For someone who accesses the forum only via laptop (and wishes to continue with that) this is an issue that

is completely annoying to me.

If it happened with any other emails I would think I maybe have an issue with BT internet and BT yahoo

but it is only with emails from this forum.

Any news on this would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi @Toby

Just to add my 2cents.

I originally though this may have been connected to Bt migrating accounts from Yahoo to BtMail, but on checking the Bt Forum this migration is still in its infancy.

I too am logging in and being hit with batches of e mails from the previous day. Almost like something with the Lithium software is delaying them.

I have never really believed this has been a BT problem. I have had BT internet for years and years with

absolutely NO issues receiving emails from anyone other than this Forum.

If I had to pinpoint it?

It began when this forum was redesigned. I never had any problem before then.

It is getting untenable now. I am missing important PM's, which frustrates and angers me. Unless I sit all day

long logged in to this forum, I am missing out on any response I wish to make on previous posts

I certainly do not have the time to stay logged on here all day.

I feel in limbo really. Smiley Mad
