Hi @Anonymous  I think the problem here is two members ( yourself and @Anonymous) were posting on the same thread so things got a bit muddled. In answer to your query , Your sim card can only go in another payg phone...Sims for contract and payg are different....

Also Live chat does not close till 9pm officially

I've managed to put a payg sim in contract phones before @Cleoriff i got an iPhone 4 a few years ago after a member of my family upgraded, they were on contract & I was on payg, did a sim swap & all was fine

Hey lovemyphone can I be cheeky and ask if you know the answer to this. I am visiting Japan and want to pick up a SIM there to get cheaper internet rates. Would I need to get my 02 phone unlocked first? It's a HTC M8 if that helps. Thank you slight_smile Jordan

@Anonymous Yes you need to get it unlocked before you leave UK. Also use wifi wherever you can.

Probably right then @Anonymous. I was thinking about the settings (looking at a comment made by jonsie)

in a thread when someone was asking the same question...

"You may need to have the settings sent to the phone as P&G and Monthly settings are different"

Thank you for kindly answering me slight_smile i've filled in the O2 form and it says 28 days but I go on the 3rd Oct, will calling them speed this up, do you know and if not can I pay a service to unlock it for me. I'm that bad with directions that i'd need Google Maps on all the time! Last questions, promise. @Anonymous

Usually much quicker but when you get a sim in Japan make sure the network uses the same frequencies as your phone.
