A very Off-topic question from me

I want to get some more music on my phone and whenever I try and think of great songs, my mind pulls a blank. When I do hear something, I always forget before I get to my phone!

Can you guys please post some of your favourite songs for me to listen to? Any period, any genre and any artist. I need some inspiration.

hey Toby, sorry im late to the party, i have refound my love for Kings of leon and their albums are regulary on my airplay along with Coldplays latestet album, however one artist that I have fallen in love with is Jonny Cash...

hurt is a big song for me and one I can relate to my own life word for word... Ok this may be a nine inch nails cover, I hate metal, but the cover that Jonny done is just epic and really hits me hard

fave KOL song is Closer the rift in that is amazing, and yes hurt was Jonnys last song as he sang it to sum up his life, he wote 60 songs in 6 months from June passing away hes sould mate and his love of his life, to the day that he finally went up to meet her, may his soul be resting in comfort... his music is a massive insperation, he covered "the first time i ever saw your face" listen to that its mind blowing his voice is just amazing...

So many good suggestions here. I also like Screamin' Jay Hawkins! But my favourite song from him is Frenzy. You'll see why when you listen to it. lol

Also Toby, use Shazam. Great for capturing the name of the song you hear and like if you're out and about! It might stress you out though if you try it at the end of a song. haha

@Marjo  When I suggested Screaming Jay Hawkins I had honestly never heard of him. I just tracked him down via that Suzuki advert.... Since then I have listened to other tracks of his..

I have to admit to NOT liking Frenzy quite so much
